I broke a previously damaged rear axle on my trailer while traveling cross-country helping an old Air Force buddy move to Montana. Discovered and spent a few days in a place called Wis Dells-I never knew! Very cool area.
Trailer was taken to I-39 Supply where they have been replacing the axle, fixing dents and dings in the sheetmetal, and giving an overall refresh. Currently I’m in Mansfield Ohio and need to head over and either pick it up and haul it to Washington; or preferably sell it quickly and just meet you there in WI for title and payment to I-39.
I purchased this trailer just before retiring from the military about two years ago. The gentleman I bought it from did some hot shotting with it and I have used it for all kinds of adventures. Hence the damage I did to the rear axle while pulling an old Porsche out of a rural property. Caught it on the pavement and got hung up.
Truly listing for what seems like a fair price, I’ve got probably a $5,000 bill upon arrival at I-39 for their both axle repair and cosmetic fixes. Haven’t seen it yet, but they do good work from my visits there now twice. Pretty sure they will have replaced most if not all the tires on her as they were getting a bit worn. I’ll call them back tomorrow and ask.
Big escape doors were the selling point for me on this rig. Makes life so easy when hauling vehicles, or just to pop open for some air and light. Comes with a nice winch with synthetic line. Professional grade straps for anchoring vehicles and cargo, and about a dozen good quality moving pads. Probably a couple other goodies too.
This is a sale of connivence for me as I’ve done 3 almost coast to coast trips so far this year, and I have purchased a new smaller trailer.
Pictures are from the past couple years while I’ve been getting retired, not since I-39 has had it in and cleaned up. The FB screen capture was from the listing I originally found and purchased from.
The grey Ford is also for sale if you are interested!
