The DeForest Area School District will be holding a summer technology sale, from July 9th through July 12th, to liquidate obsolete technology.
Items for sale include many Dell OptiPlex PCs (mostly SFF 745s and 760s, though some 780s and some SMTs, all RAM pulled), many 17" Dell LCD monitors (with VGA input), various laptops, primarily Dell (Latitude E6500 and Inspiron 910 with RAM, HDDs, and SSDs), various miscellaneous netbooks, as well as end-of-life Samsung XE500 Chromebooks (no longer getting updates to Chrome OS from Google). Some computers are for parts or repair while other computers available are in better functional condition. Pulled, untested, PC2 and PC3 RAM is separately available for sale. Over 200 hard drives that have been secure erased and tested as fully functional will also be available for sale. Hard drive sizes vary between 40GB and 750GB, mostly SATA, though some IDE. Additionally, hard drives are mostly 3.5", though some 2.5" laptop drives are also available. Various HP LaserJet printers will also be available for parts or repair. Sale hours will be as follows:
Mon. July 9: 1pm to 4pm
Tues. July 10: 8am to 11am
Wed. July 11: 1pm to 4pm
Thurs. July 12: 8am to 11am
The sale will be located in room 6 in the lower level of the Holum Education Center, located at 520 East Holum Street in DeForest, WI, 53532. It is recommended that you park on Columbia Ave. north of the building, N. Cleveland St. east of the building, or E. Holum St south of the building. Parking in the gravel lot behind the building is reserved for District employees and District vehicles, unless one needs to load items purchased in the sale. The building can be entered at door 7, which is located by the gravel parking lot. Once you enter the building at door 7, room 6 is the first door to your left in that entryway.
Payment for sale items may be made either by cash or check. Checks are to be made payable to "DASD".
