I am a recent transplant from the East Coast who is looking for a pleasant shared living environment or garage/adjacent apartment at a reasonably low rent. I don't require a lot of space, nor parking or building amenities.

I recently started a full-time job with a great company -- not lucrative, but terrific for pursuing my interest in local food. I will hopefully pick up additional freelance work, perhaps as a writer or social media consultant for local businesses or an agency. I am a creative writer in my free-time, and worked for well known media companies and agencies in New York City for many years.
Personal: I am older*, sociable but with quiet habits, very neat and clean, always responsible, and a considerate roommate. I rise early and head to bed early, and spend a good amount of my time at home reading and writing. I am out of the habit of cooking, but might get back into it in cooler days -- my job provides great access to fantastic ingredients. I like good wine, good cheese, good "deli" and such, and can be counted on to share with roommates. (My eating is pretty East Coast in approach -- not big on hamburgers or fried cheese curds; sorry, WI.) I love art and music (from alt rock to classical, and definitely jazz) and walking and biking (no bike here as yet). I like all sports except NFL (college football sometimes, but baseball, basketball, soccer and tennis preferred).
*Fifties, but younger than that implies, from looks and fitness to manner to tastes to commitment to exploring. Hopefully just older in good ways like mellowness and sense of humor.
If you are looking for a roommate or have a pretty cheap place you'd like a nice, quiet person to inhabit, hit me up. I hope to move in August 15 or September 1. As noted above, my search area is downtown or out towards Middleton, where I work. I rely on the bus system, so that narrows my possibilities.
Oh -- Attached are shots of my last apartment in NYC, which was very nice. I don't expect that here (on my current salary!) but you'll see from it that I am a pretty "neat" fellow -- with great taste!
