Independently evaluated by a Volkswagen mechanic last fall, and found to be free of mechanical problems.
Regular maintenance including oil and transmission fluid change every 5,000 miles or 12 months. The transmission was replaced with a German Transaxle rebuilt transmission with a transmission oil cooler at 155,000 miles. The timing chain/guides were also replaced at 145,000 miles.
All mechanicals work, including vehicle heat and A/C, LP stove and heater, water system, lights and refrigerator.
Upholstery is in excellent condition.
Xetex Freedom 100W inverter/charger changed in 2022. The system will automatically keep both the vehicle starting and camping batteries charged when plugged into shore power and also will keep the 120 V AC outlet powered either by shore power or inverter power.
Cabin batteries replaced in 2022, engine battery replaced in 2024.
Added a Jensen touchscreen multimedia sound system that includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto in 2024
Additional following work has been done on the camper since 2020:
• Interior refinished, including repainting of all interior plastic.

• New gas struts for pop top and rear hatch.
• Front roof luggage rack mounting brackets replaced with all stainless hardware.

• ScanGuage II with firmware upgrade for Eurovan added.
• New e-code headlights
• All interior light bulbs replaced with LED lights.
• Added 200 Amp-hr deep cycle batteries for camping.
• Old refrigerator replaced with new Vitrifrigo compressor refrigerator. Runs off of 12V DC and 120V AC. Freezer section is cold enough to make ice and keep ice cream frozen.
• Added shelf space near refrigerator.
• Added replaceable in-line water filter added to potable water system.
• Added 2” receiver hitch with trailer wiring harness.
• All suspension bushings replaced.
• New front drive shafts/boots.
• New front wheel bearings.
• New Bilstein HD shock absorbers on all four wheels.
• New alternator.
• New sparkplugs, sparkplug wires and ignition coil pack.
• Added transmission fluid dipstick.
• Replaced engine vacuum hoses.
• Replaced engine serpentine belt and idler pulley.
• Includes Fiamma bike rack that mounts on rear hatch.
Comes with original vehicle and camper owners’ manuals.
Includes four additional tires on rims
