I am seeking a roommate to occupy the lower level basement of my home. This includes a bedroom with a walk in closet, and a full bath with a bathtub/shower. The laundry machines are also located in this bathroom so I’ll just pop in every so often for that but otherwise I’m never down there. Essentially your own private level.
The location is great, walking distance to the UW Hospital, and a skip to UW Madison campus, camp Randall stadium, hilldale mall. There are a few bus stops within 1-3 min walk as well as being right on bike blvd (Kendall Avenue).
The house is a single story bungalow built in 1917. The main level features natural hardwood floors, some exposed brick, and charming woodworking/trim.
The main level has an open concept living/kitchen/dining room, and two bedrooms and one bathroom upstairs.
I work full time in hospitality so I am gone most nights from 4-10/11pm. My ideal roommate would have the opposite schedule so we’d each have some privacy in the house during the day.
There is a detached finished garage out back as well as a spacious backyard. Extra storage can be available in the garage or basement utility room if needed.
Driveway is long and narrow, can offer off street private parking but we’d have to be mindful to not park each other in, etc. Otherwise the neighborhood is quite walkable, public transport and bike friendly.
I’m a 30y old female. I’m fairly clean, laid back, and friendly. I also value my privacy and alone time. I enjoy cooking, dining out, working out, and spending a lot of time lounging in my backyard reading.
I have one small 6 year old cat who’s very sweet. So must be okay with cats. She doesn’t shed a lot and I have a few air purifiers, also all the furniture here is leather or wood so if you have any cat allergies it’s pretty manageable. I have friends with allergies that don’t even react at all when they come over. Pets are okay if you have them for an extra fee.
I’m asking $1400 including all utilities, laundry, off street parking, storage available and high speed internet.
If you’re interested and it seems like a good fit, or you’d like to ask any questions please don’t hesitate to respond to this ad. I’d also love to know a little bit about yourself.
Lease can be month to month, short term, or long term.
House would just be shared with myself and you.
No smoking in the house but okay outside.
Basic house rules:
-no shoes in the house. I have a front porch/mudroom you can take them off there.
-must be respectful of shared spaces and keep those areas clean
