Listing is suited for a quiet, respectful individual to rent a furnished private room in my house on the second floor.
Non smoker and occasional to non drinker preferred.
House is in a quiet, mostly family owned neighborhood, with a two minute walk to the park and walking distance to campus.
This house has a unique character and feel, built in 1884 and is located in central Madison, nestled within the Greenbush neighborhood.
You can expect corky crooked nooks and crannies of an old house personality and would feel at home within that ;-)
Must be comfortable with small to large sized dogs which may be visiting the property at times.
(they will be on the first floor/path to upstairs is gated).
The room is large approx. 12x12' on the second floor with plenty of light coming in. Clean and private.
It is furnished with basics, such as a clean king size bed, storage bins, shelving, TV console/ desk, chair, rug.
One set of sheets/ comforter/pillows/ bathmat and towels are provided if needed.
There is a built in closet in the room with storage baskets, hamper and a small shelf dresser.
There will be assigned cabinet/ shelf/caddy space in the bathroom and kitchen with provided for you dishes/utensils/ pots and pans.
Laundry service is additional/ optional and priced by needs.
On street parking.
However, off street parking is negotiable for an additional $150 a month.
Bus lines are easy to walk to and a bike path is two minutes away.
Bike can be secured in the back of locked backyard with a 6' fence/ gate.
There is also a city bicycle rental in walking distance.
Shared areas with some storage space are bathroom, kitchen and use of the backyard, deck, front porch.
Various laundromats available close by. Laundry service once a month can be arranged as well.
Needs to be agreeable to house rules. Environmentally friendly. Recycle/compost.
Unfortunately small critters/ snakes/ fish / birds/ cats/ dogs etc. are NOT ok.
I work from home, so I prefer someone who works/ has an active life and life style outside of the house.
Must be comfortable with various sized dogs visiting the property at times.
Must pass credit check via professional background check company and
will need x1 rental as well as x1 personal and x1 professional references.
BREAK DOWN of what is INCLUDED:
It is $765 a month for the room/ space and flat rate of $160 for utilities/internet/TV app use a month.
Totaling $925 per month all inclusive from May through September.
The flat rate applies to average use of utilities. Additional cost apply beyond average use.
Flat rate changes if it is above average and it does increase to $230 for utilities during October through April,
raising the monthly cost to $995 per month inclusive. Additional cost apply beyond average use.
Refundable deposit of $595 for a minimum 1month- max 4 months stay.
Amount non negotiable.
Images show the room furnished as you would receive it. Bed cannot be removed.
Artwork is to introduce the feel of the house (can be removed or exchanged with different art if desired).
