Our Company operates two storage facilities with a total of approximately 700 storage units. We believe in continuous improvement and providing an excellent customer experience. Our facilities utilize top technologies such as rental & payment kiosks, web rentals, VoIP phone systems, digital documents, automated gate software, online auctions, access keypads, and video surveillance systems. We are looking for someone who shares our commitment to "getting it right."
We are looking for an individual with experience in: customer service, commercial or residential property management, property maintenance, leasing agent, farming or previous self storage experience.
This position is approximately 75% maintenance (including cleaning) type work and approximately 25% administrative type work.

Responsibilities include:
- Providing excellent customer service in-person, over the phone and by email (ex. explain a lease and write a professional email)
- Showing and leasing storage units
- Maintaining up-to-date and accurate records
- Accurately recording, collecting & depositing customer payments (bank deposits)
- Managing Accounts Receivable including collection calls & preparing lien sales
- Cleaning the office, picking up trash outside & sweeping/cleaning storage units
- Minor maintenance/repairs (such as: painting, using a power tool to cut locks, lubricating the gate / doors, changing a light bulb, painting, etc.)
- Obtaining quotes from contractors for repairs (ex. snow removal contract)
- Supervising contractors (ex. promptly verifying that snow removal was performed correctly and without property damage)
- Performing a walk-through inspection of the property daily to ensure the facility is in good repair
- Securing the property by: taking photos / videos, reviewing access records and reviewing video surveillance
- Occasionally driving to another location (5 mi / 10 min away) if needed (ex. time sensitive matter or a rental opportunity)
Job requirements:
- A valid and current driver's license
- Prompt & reliable source of transportation (must be able to go to another facility which is 5 mi away from time to time, must be able to do a run to the bank and/or post office occasionally)
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to move and lift 40 lbs
- Ability to stand, lift, step and bend (This is physical job and employees will stand at a service counter, lift and move a pallet, step up a ladder or staircase, bend to pick up litter or sweep and walk throughout the property.)
- Ability to perform work outside during varied weather conditions (ex. pull weeds when it is hot or humid outside, shovel a walkway when it is cold outside, show a storage unit in the rain, etc.)
- General computer proficiency (scan a lease, email an attachment, re-boot a computer, write a professional email, etc.). Must have experience using a computer on a daily basis at work (or in school if applicable). Knowledge of or willingness to learn SiteLink self storage property management software.
Applicants will be required to consent to a background check including driving record. This position is part-time, which is approximately 20 hours per week (1 pm - 5 pm, Monday - Friday). You will have some flexibility in hours, for example, you can choose when to set up appointments for showings.
This position pays $20.00/hr.
