FOR SALE is a stunning vintage H.N. WHITE KING alto saxophone!
This 104 year old beauty is a shining example of early 20th century American craftsmanship, complete with a luxurious finish consisting of a matte silver-plated body tube with gold-plated keywork and a gold-wash bell. The key action is archaic yet very playable, and the intonation is surprisingly excellent for such an early horn. The tone of this instrument is what sets it apart, however - the unique bore and vintage brass used in the construction of these early Kings gives them an otherworldly vibrant, singing quality to the sound that is frankly unmatched by any modern saxophone currently in production.
Freshly professionally overhauled by Clay Lyons of JL Woodwinds NYC, this alto saxophone plays smoothly from top to bottom, with an extraordinarily resonant, lively tone. It has been set up with flat metal resonators and white felts. Included with the purchase is a sturdy vintage Conn alto saxophone case.
