Solar panels, 28 ea. Sharp ND-240QCJ, 240 Watts each
These are coming off my house in the near future due to the hail storm in April 2026. I'd like to sell the lot, but would consider selling them by the panel for anyone who wants to experiment with solar.
I had 32 but 4 got hit, the rest are still making energy and will for a very long time. The issue for me to re-use them is the labor cost to take them down and reinstall them, my loss your gain. As long as my insurance is going to replace them I decided to upgrade the panels.
If you're handy, or want to make an off grid system, this will be a cheap way to do that. They were originally warrantied for a 25 year output, but since the silicon wafers last virtually forever, 50 years or more as long as they aren't physically damaged. It's the glass and the encapsulating epoxy that will eventually degrade, but these are only about 15 years old, so they'd be a nice system component at a discounted rate.
