Stoughton Health has an excellent opportunity for a Materials Services Technician to join our team on a Per-Diem basis in our Material Services department.
The Material Services Technician is responsible for performing day to day functions relating to Stoughton Health’s inventory/supply system. Also, responsible for providing materials services in the areas of forms, U.S. mail and photocopying. This position supports the manager as needed.
Essential Functions:
Maintains stockroom through receipt, labeling and stocking inventory.
Maintains supplied in each department by checking department PAR levels and restocking as necessary.
Maintains accurate computer inventory files, entering all receipts and usage of supplies, and produces reports.
Helps facilitate receipt and pick-up of incoming and outgoing U.S. Mail
Perform clerical duties for the department including answering phone calls, typing and data collection.
Performs various cleaning tasks to maintain the department in a neat and organized manner, including sweeping, dusting and breakdown of all boxes.
Ability to lift 26 – 50 lbs.
Position Requirements:
Required Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent
Preferred Education: Associate’s Degree
Professional Experience: Requires some similar or related experience. Prefer one to two years prior experience in a Material Services capacity preferably in a hospital or health care setting.
Licensure: Valid Wisconsin Drivers License
Special Requirements: Proof of current Auto Insurance
Computer Competency: Basic Computer Skills are expected for this position.
Microsoft Office Suite Skills: Beginning Skills – Able to perform basic things such as opening a document and write a letter.
Work Shift:
Per Diem (As Needed)
Minimum of 2 shifts per month
