These cattle were raised on a small farm with access to open pasture. Besides a grass/red clover mix from the pasture they were raised on an alfalfa/orchard grass mix and fed a cracked-corn/oats mix with trace mineral.
No growth hormones were ever used or offered to the cattle. No antibiotics were used for at least the last 14 months, if ever.
Processing will be done through the Baraboo Meat Market located across from the Sauk County Fair Grounds. Butcher date is currently scheduled for this coming February 4, and April 14, 2026.
Price will be $3.75 per lb. hanging weight. Basic processing fees will be an additional .92 cents per pound to be paid to the Baraboo Meat Market at the time of pickup. Total costs equaling $4.67 per lb. (Hanging weight for a quarter beef will be approximately 220 lbs.)
