I don’t know the exact age of any of the donkeys, however the male and one female are in their teens.
Blue halter: male, intact, was ridden in his younger years. Now just wants to focus on the ladies. Friendly, likes treats.
Green halter: female, mother of purple halter. Very docile, friendly. Selling as exposed but no guarantee of pregnancy.
Purple halter: female, daughter of green halter but no relationship to blue halter. Skiddish personality, not as friendly. Selling as exposed but no guarantee of pregnancy.
I have had the male for several years, and the females for less than two years. They took awhile to warm up to each other, but now are very bonded. I would like them to be re-homed as a trio. I did see breeding attempts this summer, however again cannot verify success.
These donkeys are very good pasture protectors. They have always been pastured with goats, sheep, and pigs. However I would not recommend pasturing with adolescent animals of the listed species.
