Big squares of third crop dry grass hay measure approximately 27” x 32” x 8 foot long. Tested 11.63 moisture, 11.51 protein, 16.68 sugar, 2.27 starch, 111 rfv, 135 rfq, 59.05 tdn, 2753 milk/ton. 52 bales available.

Big squares of second crop balage - oats and alfalfa measure approximately 27” x 32” x 6 foot long and individually wrapped. Tested 39.29 moisture, 12.12 protein, 17.72 sugar, 6.85 starch, 125 rfv, 123 rfq, 4.96 PH, 56.96 tdn, 2857 milk/ton. This balage was a “second cutting” because the first crop of oats (new seeding alfalfa and oats) was blown down by wind and rain 3 days before swathing ahead of the combine. The oats basically reseeded itself for a second cutting we made after first killing frost. Judging by low lactic acid (1.48) on test, it probably never fermented and will still be green when opened. 80 bales available.
Both of these batches should make excellent calf hay! Soft and palatable!
