Cows
4 to 10 year old crossbred Angus, Hereford, and Devon mix (many high percentage North Devon). Lineage selected over 20 years for efficiency on grass, calving ease, carcass quality (we used to do all of our own butchering and we checked for marbling and tenderness), early maturity, and temperament and calving ease on time. $4,000-$4,500

(We will not send any bred females within a month of calving or the month after calving, unless it is less than 50 miles) It is too much stress on her and the calf.
Heifers - pregnancy checked, crossbred high percentage Devon $3900, purebred Devon $4500. They are all put with bulls mid July, for approximate May 1st calving. All females are put in with top producing bulls for calving ease and fast growing calves that do great on grass or grain!
We do DNA testing for milk traits (A2/A2, fats, etc.) and horns. A lot of our herd has scurs not actual horns.
Steers(organic raised and 100%grassfed) some are bulls(we castrate the week after Thanksgiving every year). We do have a limited number of steers do to buyers that put deposits down a year in advance to hold steers for them.
Heifers calves(put with bulls in July (13months)). Some are good just to feed out, but we do breed for better replacement females in our program so most will make great replacement heifers!

May born bull calves are usually around 600+lbs at Thanksgiving time on grass pasture and mineral alone. We finish at 1100lbs by 20 months on most of them.
