The main structure of the arms and back is compressed foam - which is perfect for a lightweight chair. Unfortunately, two of the chairs were damaged in shipping, leading to the arm foam being cracked through at an angle. It's not visible from the exterior, but there's a slight "wobble" to one of the arms on two of the chairs. We were given a discount on the chairs by Wayfair due to this shipping damage, so that's part of the reason the chairs are $40 each.
They were in a seldom used room in our non-smoking, no pet home, they have no visible damage, stains, or other issues other than the slight wiggle of two arms.
I cannot provide transportation or delivery of the chairs, but the dimensions are listed above and the legs screw off the chairs to reduce the dimensions. I believe all four would fit in a small SUV with the backseat folded down, but that's just my hunch. I live just outside of Prairie du Sac.
