Made in Germany! Style KB- 801 of solid oak. When you're ready for top quality, buy Wusthof! Holds 8, plus a 6pc steak set, cleaver and sharpening steel (not included). Their website has a similar beech model as shown in first pic, that's not as strong as oak, for $180. They don't make the oak model any more. Gifted from Daytons' before they closed in January 2001.
