PLEASE READ FULL DESCRIPTION — PROJECT VEHICLE
This 4Runner runs well mechanically and has been a reliable vehicle for me for almost 20 years (I'm second owner), however it has a long-term sunroof leak that has caused moisture intrusion and visible mold on the interior headliner. Mold may also be present in other interior areas and potentially within the HVAC system. I am having severe allergies and I need to let my beloved vehicle go.
Because of these issues, the vehicle is being sold AS-IS, as a PROJECT / REBUILD / PARTS / OFF-ROAD BUILD vehicle.
It is NOT recommended as a daily driver without full interior removal and professional remediation.
Important details:
Engine and transmission run strong
Frame and drivetrain are solid for age
Sunroof leak has been ongoing
Visible mold on headliner
Interior would need to be stripped or fully remediated
Great candidate for an off-road build or custom project
Some dents on exterior and paint peeling
Some idiosyncrasies with locks
Front seats are ripped and other cosmetic issues
Back door doesn't stay up by itself

I’m happy to answer questions, but please understand this is a project vehicle and priced accordingly. It drives well but the interior systemic mold sitch is real.
Car was bought it in CA and currently registered in OR but I am in Madison. I drove car from Portland, OR to Madison in early October...no known mechanical issues.
