This gorgeous wooden case is a "Gold Works Ltd tarnish proof silverware chest" and was distributed by Sato-Shoji Imports & Gold Works Ltd. It contains an engravable name plate and TWO SETS of flatware. On top is an Oneida Stainless Steel serving set with place settings for eight and serving pieces. In the drawer below is a Dirigold by Dirilyte gold toned serving set with place settings for six and one serving spoon.

Dirilyte ceased production in 1986. These are no longer made.

Please note that most Dirigold flatware manufactured after 1961 has a bonded protectant coating and should not be polished.

Each piece was hand washed and dried prior to listing.

CONDITION DETAILS (Please scroll through all the pictures for visual details):

Some of these pieces have some tarnish - the Dirigold items moreso than the Oneida flatware - but a couple of the Oneida utensils have pits.

The wooden case has some scuffs/dents, is coming apart a bit on the right inside tray and has some dried glue on the inside case from a previous glue job, but is overall in really good condition. The handle screws are a little loose on the case but they are designed for show and not for functionality.
