Fully internal cable routing, including through the stem if you have the right one. Cable ports are on the larger side, so routing is pretty easy
Cosmetically the bar looks new (as far as what can be seen once bar tape and shifters are installed). The outermost clear coat is starting to delaminate where the shifters were installed. Never had any issues with slip when torqued to spec, these bars have a coating of grip/abrasive material at the bar and shifter clamping areas to prevent slip
