Phew, I don't know where to start so I'll make a long story short. My name is Andy Kramer. I've been obsessed with music since I was very young. My first album was Jimi Hendrix "The Ultimate Experience" and it changed my life. So I started out listening to anything from the 60's/70's, then moved onto 80's, heavy music, indie music, soul, blues, rap, and anything else that moved me. I am now 31 and always looking for a way to express myself with music. I don't want to "sound" like another band. I don't want to play covers all night at endless hole in the wall bars hoping that somebody likes them enough to "allow" us to move further with music. This is our world and we will decide how far we go with the music. Music is my religion and I want somebody as passionate as me to start a band with. I'm not here to just play some covers here and there and drink a beer. I'm here because I've been a Hair Stylist, Mechanic, Landscaper, Custodian, Graphic Designer, and more and all I think about is music. It's what I want to be doing for the rest of my life. I have many favorite bands/artist but if I had to name a few of the very top they'd be Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan, the Rolling Stones, Arctic Monkeys, the Strokes, Radiohead, Biggie, Kanye, Kings of Leon, the Smashing Pumpkins, The Beatles, CCR, Marilyn Manson, Brand New, Van Morrison, and many many more. I've always gravitated towards artists/bands that have heavy songs, and soft songs. And I am not stuck in any genre because I relate to music through emotion and each genre conveys a different thought or emotion.
So I'm trying to start a band. I'm open to different ideas, sounds, and instruments. I play electric guitar and acoustic guitar. I have several songs that I've written and songs I've created on the guitar. I'm not Jimmy Page, and I don't crank out wicked fast solos like metal bands because it's not my thing. But I definitely can play solo styles, bar chords, and finger pick. I am also okay at playing bass and a bit of drums. I know that with the right members, and my artistic skill our future band can be the biggest and most successful because it's my passion, and I'm extremely driven and talented. I also can do any artwork or promotional items because I'm a graphic designer.
I'm at a point where I play at home and make amazing songs but need to get out there and find like minded band mates who want to use our band to express our ideas and also live the high life away from shitty desk jobs that hold us down. I have an electric guitar, 2 acoustic guitars, one acoustic electric guitar, a beginner bass, and I also have the newest version of Pro Logic so we can record our music ourselves. And Pro Logic has MANY instruments and guitar effects so we can create whatever we want. If you have been in the same place musically and want to finally burst out give me a call and we can meet up, play, and see if there's magic. What's the worst that can happen?
