Nautical Life Press National Poetry Contest
Struggle with Depression? Living with Bipolar? If you live within the shadow of anxiety, PTSD or similar struggles writing can be a helpful way of coping. Sharing your writing may help others battling the same. Please consider sharing in the "Flecks of Red" Poetry Contest & Fundraiser and thank you in advance for your consideration.
-Writers may submit up to 5 poems of any topic for consideration in "Flecks of Red," Poetry Anthology. Each poem should be no longer than one page, single space (there is no minimum length) and should include your name, address and email. (Please use the same email,

, to send your poetry submission as you do your submission entry fee via Paypal.)
-Submissions for "Flecks of Red" should either be written by someone diagnosed with mental illness or by someone who has be affected by the mental illness of another, specifically but not limited to Bipolar Disorder (Manic Depressive), Depression, Schizophrenia, Anxiety, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder or other similar illnesses. Submissions will be accepted November 12, 2016-June 1, 2017. (Winners and chapbook authors will be notified by June 15, 2017.)
- Poetry submissions fees will be used to award cash prizes to three poets. Sales of "Flecks of Red" will benefit the Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance as well as other upcoming poetry chapbooks on similar topics from Nautical Life Press.
- Authors included in "Flecks of Red" will be given two complimentary copies of the anthology chapbook. Authors will be able to purchase additional copies at a discounted rate. Each poem published in "Flecks of Red" will include a short author bio and contact information if desired.
-Each poem submitted for chapbook consideration must include a $10.00 submission fee payable to Nautical Life Press via Paypal using
