paneled sides . nice old cast brass hardware. has carving at lower front all drawers and door work great . top could use refinished very easy to do but dose not have to be . these make great bedroom side stands . but can be used any where .its 30 3/4 tall to top of commode . yes towel bar is removable for easy hauling. its also on wheels for easy moving around . suggest calling ty Firm
