This 1850-1880 School Masters Desk came from a one room country schoolhouse in Knox County, IL in the village of Altona within the township of Ontario. The desk is made of black walnut. I am also including an old captain's chair, lamp and book about old one-room schools of Knox county. These items were passed down from my grandfather who was an antique collector. The desk stands 28" high with a 4" raised back trim. The width across is 49.5" with a length or depth of 26" from front to back.
