Victorian Antique Vintage Buffalo Hardware Company. Wood School Desk Numbered # 2 School Desk Made by Buffalo Hardware Company out of wood and cast iron, desk has groove for pens and double ink well holes. Circa late 1800's, this Buffalo New York School Desk --- Outstanding piece of History. Elegant and Ornate cast iron legs that depict this era very well. Excellent iron Approx. Measurements: Desk top: 24”W x 14.75”D x 28"H Seat in front: 24.25”W x 12.75"D x 15”H Embossed in the ornate cast iron, on the one side: Buffalo Hardware Company 2. Other side, reads, Buffalo New York. Fully functional condition ~ bench seat flips up Sturdy seat and/ or desk . There are some very original marks and initials in the wood as with age and mischievous students (in my opinion it gives the desk many neat stories). ~See photos for accurate condition. can be used as a bench in mudroom, foyer or hallway, seat, desk, side table, end table, nightstand, conversation piece old, antique, wood, and cast iron, child's school desk. The cast iron is in excellent condition no cracks. The entire desk appears to still have the original finish. It can be cleaned up and preserve the originality of it of refinished. You have seen many of these desks with the rear seat missing leaving no seat with the desk surface in front of it but this is intact with the rear adjustable height seat! and could be used or shown complete. Also the original lower shelf is still intact! I have yet to see one with the book shelf. These factors add to the value of the desk.....Now $45.00..obo......
