I'm a 32 y/o female with two cats (they're non-negotiable) looking for a room in exchange for cleaning, cooking, childcare, pet care, etc. I even have mad office and internet skills if you need help in that area!
My current situation -- providing childcare for a 3 y/o, cooking, weekly housecleaning (daily in the kitchen), pet care, and maintenance including lawn care and snow removal -- is ending at the end of August so I need something by 8/31.
I have no criminal record, have been fingerprinted and will happily submit to a background check. I am LGBT-friendly, laid-back, quiet and rarely have people over. I am excellent with children and pets and clean thoroughly. I do not, however, drive. The cats are friendly and tend to stay close to me. They are both fixed, but I do not believe in declawing.

My requirements:
- On/near a regular bus line that operates during peak, off-peak and weekends.
- Cat-friendly.
- If doing childcare, a firm, respected agreement of the days and hours I will be expected to provide care and provision of any supplies, bus fare, etc. for arts and crafts and outings.
- Some sort of internet access.

I would prefer to remain on the East Side, but really can't afford to be picky at this point.

As you probably guessed, I will be working for Epic and will be traveling a fair amount during the week (after I finish training, probably every other week or so), but home on weekends. If you are looking for someone to help with maintenance, yard work, construction, car rebuilding, farm chores, or anything that involves someone handy I would be more than willing to help out in exchange for rent or discounted rent. This could be ideal for any elderly people who would like someone to help them take care of their home. I love to work on projects-cars, trucks, building (house), etc. I have experience rebuilding wrecked cars, and have been doing so since I was 14. I also have experience in building, as my dad and I put an addition onto our house and are working on renovating a cottage. I worked as an assistant project manager (doing punchlist work, aka fixing contractor problems) for the department of facilities design and construction while at school. My love for building/fixing things is why I went to college to be an engineer. I love animals, so any pets you may have are not a problem. As for farm work, I helped manage a riding stable with 60 horses for 8 summers. I have worked a fair amount bailing and stacking hay, driving tractors, training horses, and teaching tourists to ride. As you can see I've had a diversified career history, but I know a little about everything.

As I just graduated and do not have a lot of money on hand, fairly economic pricing is requested (Ideally I am looking for $350/month or less, everything included). I will pay on time, have no worries about that. Internet access (preferably high speed) is also requested. I have a pickup, so I need somewhere to park. I work on the westside (near Elver Park) so a place near that area would be preferable but it's not crucial. I drive a high MPG car so other areas can be considered, too; Fitchburg, Monona, Waunakee would all be fine in the right situation. One or two additional housemates would be ideal, as opposed to a house/duplex with numerous tenants. I'm single, separated and about to turn 45. I "act" a little more like I'm in my 30's but I certainly enjoy being around and learning from people older than me. I currently live with my best friend in a small 2 bedroom duplex. My roommate would like to have her sister stay with her while she recovers from a kidney transplant at UW hospital. The flexibility to move back in with her (next spring or summer?) would be nice, but, again, is not crucially important. My hours during the summer are fairly hectic and will likely be from about 7AM to 6PM. I will also be working weekends on occasion. During the school year my hours are more like noon- 7PM. I'm a Youth Coordinator and I mostly work with kids between 6 and 13. I'd certainly be open to opportunities (married or single working parent(s)?) that might be available to becoming employed as a "Nanny" (play, educate, maintain safety, etc...) during certain times and days. Sorry, I don't do diapers. I'm adaptable as far as being gregarious or reclusive- whatever works best for everyone because I read a lot when I'm "doing nothing". I am a bit of a sports fan and especially enjoy UW men's basketball games. Utilities being included with rent would be preferable- whatever that figure is determined to be. I just find it ideal to know what I pay every month. Initially, I would prefer a short term commitment (month-to-month?) until we can both see that the fit is a good one. A lower level of a duplex or house that has a 3/4 or full bath would be ideal. A garage space would be great but is a very low priority b/c I usually don't drive fancy cars. July 15, Aug 1, or Aug 15 move-in dates would be ideal. ("ideal" being the operative word with all these) I'm a big animal lover and I also have allergies to some pets but I seem to become accustomed to them once I'm around them for some time. I've made a great pet-sitter for many friends over the years. I'm a non-smoker and a very light social drinker. My current lease ends in Minneapolis August 31, but I would be able to start a lease somewhere around the middle of August, however you probably wouldn't see me until September 1st or very near to it. Now a little about me. First off I'm an Environmental Conservation/Secondary Education major. I am a very easy-going person, who is looking to be friends with my roommates, not just an outsider. I am definitely down for having a good time, and have a mild case of insomnia. I like live music of all types, love bluegrass/folk music and anything along those lines, however I listen to and am open to/love all types of music. I have 3 ferrets which would be making the move with me, but I take very good care of them, so they do not smell. Promise. I love animals and they get along very well with other animals, so if you have some already that is fine. I do smoke, but am willing to go outside to smoke cigarettes. Other smoke I would prefer to stay in the house if everyone is fine with it, but that is negotiable as well. I am an outside person, and am outside quite frequently. I do also do a bit of gardening, so if I would be able to plant a garden next summer that would also be a plus. Not that I'm being picky or anything. I would prefer rent to be somewhere in the 350-400 range, and if possible a 3 season porch, or any sort of patio or porch is preferred. So if you have one of those, that would help out a lot as well. If you are interested in anything along those lines, then it would definitely be much appreciated if you would get back to me as soon as possible. i'm a 26 year old male, full time serving job, very easy going and easy to get along with. looking for a room to rent in a house or apt, east side is better but willing to consider other, dogs must be ok, I have a 14 week old yellow lab, shes in the process of house traing, shes pretty good about it doesn't have many accidents.loves to play and gets along with other dogs and cats, however is still learning her size compared to cats so she can get alittle rough but I'm working on it.
