I am subletting my room in a beautiful three bedroom house in Columbia Heights. The lease is up December 1 and I am looking for someone who will sublet my room through the end of the lease (this is not a summer sublet).
The common areas are all furnished. The bedroom has a stand alone closet, but I will be taking my bed (I can leave it until August if you need it). Rent is $600 plus utitilites, which usually run around $75/month (per person), this includes cable, a landline and wireless. There is a washer/dryer in the basement.
You will be living with my two roomates, both mid-twenties females. One is a young professional and other is a grad student who works part time. They are both very clean and not often home because of their busy schedules. The house is a quiet, relaxing place for us to come back to at night.
Columbia Heights metro is a 15 minute walk and we are right on a major busline. All the buses that pass our house go straight to the metro, it's very convenient. We also have a parking spot behind our house that will be yours if you need it (none of us have cars).
I am having an open house TONIGHT (wednesday, may 7th) from 8:00 - 9:00. The address is 509 Columbia Road, NW (20001). Metro: Green or Yellow line to Columbia Heights. Walk down Columbia past Georgia Ave and we're at the end of the block on the left. Car: Do a mapquest, Columbia is a one way street and it's a little tricky getting onto the street if you aren't familiar with it. Parking is usually plentiful on the street. Bus: Tons of buses go down Irving street (H1, 2, 3, 4 at least), get off at Warder Street and walk around the corner to Columbia. We're right there.
