Hi everybody! My name is Melissa, and I'm looking to fill a room in our wonderful 3 bedroom apartment for the leasing year of August 08 - August 09. The lease begins on August 16th and a month's rent ($296) is down payment for the lease. The apartment is located at 514 E. Washington Ave., only THREE blocks from the capitol and on major buslines (6, 14, 15, 27).
You would be living with me (21), my boyfriend JR (27), and another student Zach (22). We are pretty easy going people. Since two of us are students at UW-Madison, we do prefer that it is often quiet so we can study and do homework in the evenings. JR works rough hours, so he is up at 3:30am and usually in bed by 8-9pm. The basement may be used for parties, but we do not want a lot of people in our apartment at any given time. NO PETS, please, unless they are in cages. NO SMOKING in the apartment, but you may smoke in your room as long as the door is closed. Otherwise, please smoke on our "back porch" or outside.
The apartment itself is mostly FURNISHED by us, but you will have to furnish your own room. We do need a microwave and a toaster, thougrh! The apartment also comes with:
- all major appliances (coin operated laundry downstairs)
- a downstairs back porch on the 2nd floor that we can use
- cable and internet ready (wireless)
- street parking or available parking in a lot ($75/month) or underground heated ($100/month)
WE EXPECT YOU TO PAY FOR:
- $296 per month for rent
- there is a $50 allocation fee per month for heat and water
- cable/internet(about $25-$33 per month)
- electricity/gas (about $15 per month)
- if you choose to have a mini fridge, air conditioner, electric heater, etc. we will ask you to pay more for electricity each month

We are on the 3rd floor. The room for rent is the middle one. It has a nice big closet and a perfect little nook for a small desk/entertainment area.
I am looking for MALES ONLY because girls cause too much drama and I can't live with them anymore. It would be a rare exception if I did think I could live with a girl, so respond if you think you're that girl. We are also preferably looking for STUDENTS who understand this lifestyle, and no, I don't mean the party lifestyle. We do like to have our fun, but it is usually kept to the weekends. We also like to cook a lot, and we just might share with you. If you do not have a car, I make weekly trips to the grocery store, usually on Saturdays (free samples!), so you are welcome to accompany me.
