we're into all things 60's: garage, surf, freakbeat, brill building pop, psych rock, folk rock, blues, spaghetti western and spy flick soundtracks, motown, mersey beat.

so far it's just two of us. keyboards and guitar. we are both alright songwriters and will definitely write some good material. more hands in the songwriting process are welcome. most likely will do some covers, as well.

knowing things like keys/chord names and the names of the strings on the instrument you play are kind of important. that and remembering what you've learned/played from one practice to another. singing is definitely a plus as we want to do some harmonies and such.

so we want a second guitar and i want to be able to do some rolling stones type of two guitars both switching off on lead/rhythm. and the keyboards will be pretty bombastic. then we just need a good rhythm section and we're set.

tube amps and analog equipment in general are all pluses, as well.

we are 29 and 26.

We are having some personal changes as of late, so this is a working opportunity for a local drummer in the Madison area. We (the 4 of us) are all in our late 30's early 40's and solid. We know what we are doing, you will only need to be solid on drums. More help if you want.

We are the Local Tyrants and are searching for that ever allusive solid awesome drummer. We are a Dance, rock, standard, COVER band. "Sweet Home Alabama", Hard to Handle, Gimme 3 steps, Surrender, Kryptonite, Talk Dirty to me, Crazy Train, Gel, Wanted Dead or Alive, The Jack, Were not gonna take it, Baby please don't go...etc etc...you get the picture. We already have about 4 hours of music from above and more. If you want the entire set list, send me an e-mail. You should have at least 10-15 songs ready before the audition please.

You should be solid, you should have already been playing for a while and you should know many songs already. The songs you know do not have to be our songs, but you should have the ability to learn ours very quickly. You should own pro gear, and you should have the time to practice on your own. Rehearse on Saturdays until summer, then on Thursdays. after that. And lastly, no big ego's please.

Our last gig was on New Years. The gigs we play are Madison local, and one place in Janesville.

We will play out as soon as your ready. I've already had to cancel a date, and do not want to cancel any more. You should be ready to play our set list within a short amount of time please. If you have a favorite song or songs, we could learn what you know in a week, so no worries.

Please, only contact me if you are able/want to/can commit the time to learn in the beginning and can play out at least 3 to 4 times per month.

Bass: Ibanez SG 4-String in standard, 30 Watt Roland Bass Cube
Drums: Simple Pearl standard set, 3 Toms, Bass, Hi-Hat, 18" Ride, 16" Crash
PA: Soundtech PA4040 40 Watt with stock cabinets, mic

Transportation isn't a problem except for the drum set. My current practice space (my room) is fairly small but I've had 3 to 4 practicing before in my space through the PA without too many problems if the drum set is needed for use. Schedule wise I work 7am-3pm starting May 17th so afternoon/evening practice sessions work best, I'm free all days of week after that, weekends entirely free for the most part. Hey waz up my name is Dan. I have posted various adds before in the past with no luck. I am currently looking for a christian band or starting one. I have 15 years of guitar and 5 years of bass playing. I have pro equipment and giging experience. Not to mention a heart of fire for GOD. I was currently involved in a worship band. I was kicked out. I had to deal with family emergencies. I am on the verge of giving up the music career and selling all my equipment. But I don't want to do that.
