The parts were taken off my Trek 1000 when I upgraded to Ultegra 10 –speed. It’s perfect if you are trying to build up an entry level/commuter bike.
The price is unbeatable (a used Ultegra shifter cost more than the whole set).
The set came off of a 8 speed bike, but Shimano rear derailleur will work from 8-10 speed as the spacing are the same. It all depends on the shifter.
